Chennai Super Kings conquered Hyderabad, brining to end Sunrisers Hyderabad's undefeated run at home, with an empathic 77-run win at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday night. CSK put into bat, destroyed SRH by posting a massive 223 on the back of Suresh Raina's undefeated 99 before their bowlers put up a good show to restrict the hosts to 146.
Chasing 224, SRH lost Shikhar Dhawan (3) in the second over, run out by a brilliant throw from MS Dhoni. Parthiv Patel however continued with two boundaries off Mohit Sharma.
