DLF IPL 2012 Final Match: CSK vs KKR

CSK captain MS Dhoni has once yet again won the toss and he has determined to bat first. CSK are playing with the unchanged squad while KKR have prepared a couple of changes. Brett Lee comes in for Brendon McCullum and Bisla is also in the playing eleven as Balaji hasn’t in good health from his hamstring injury.

Both the teams are on the ground for the National Anthem and the players have established an exciting welcome from the crowd. Earlier it was Raina's bombardment and Hussey's priceless knock that helped shielding champions Chennai Super Kings post a praiseworthy 190 for three after winning the toss.

Hussey along with Murali Vijay set the proposal with blistering opening partnership of 87 runs. Raina then complemented the opening duo's endeavor as he hit some of the biggest sixes in the tournament with a few of them flying out of the stadium. Beside with Hussey, he added 73 in fewer than 7 overs.

One more highlight of the CSK Innings was brilliant running between the wickets by trio of Hussey, Raina and Vijay on a sticky Chennai evening. When it mattered most, the KKR bowling assault flopped imperfectly but as they say that all's well that ends well.

Manvinder Bisla and Jacques Kallis facilitated KKR chase an impressive target of 191 with two balls to spare. Bisla's 50 came off only 27 balls but the former India colt’s player knew that he has a job at hand over. Dwayne Bravo was bowling his slower but in his two overs he was punch for two sixes over extensive.

The calm Kallis was prepared to crash anchor as he nudged the singles and rotated the strike with ease. Bisla's fifth six was a grandiose one off Ashwin over extra cover. The couple added 136 runs for the second wicket before Bisla whose impetus was broken by the strategic time-out finally tried to slash Morkel only to offer a simple catch to Subramanium Badrinath.

Bisla deceased with 52 still to get but Kallis make sure that KKR got one boundary per over. To finish it was Shakib Al Hasan and Manoj Tiwary who held their tension to seal the issue. Kolkata Knight Riders twist the new IPL champions beating Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in an exciting final on Sunday.
